In this field study to characterize the action of linalool
candles as spatial repellents against natural populations of
mosquitoes, subjects received 25.8% fewer mosquito landings at
positions with candles containing 65% +enantiomer of linalool
with 35% -enantiomer of linalool compared with the unscented tea
candle.
